1 - Charlene H. Inside Out Voices

JOY – Sabrina Carpenter (singer and actress)

  • In a lot of interviews, Sabrina Carpenter expresses her love for her fans, which gives a feeling of gratitude and positivity. Additionally, the last two albums that she released, Singular: Act I and Singular: Act II, were also praiseworthy. Act I was about empowering and fun behavior; Act II was about confidence, self-discovery, and new realizations. Whenever I’m happy about something, there’s usually some level of enjoyment and satisfaction. Her albums are encouraging, and happiness is encouraging.

SADNESS – Billie Eilish (singer-songwriter)

  • She turns melancholy, which is considered to be an unacceptable emotion, into a helpful and productive activity.  She creates music as a coping mechanism. A majority of her songs include a miserable tone and evoke a negative outlook on life. This is why she would represent the voice of sadness in my head, because it would involve struggling emotionally.

FEAR  – Wanda Maximoff (MCU character)

  • Wanda is one of the most powerful characters in the MCU. In the movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, she gives the Avengers visions of their biggest fears. In the movie Captain America: Civil War, she says the iconic line “I can’t control their fear, only my own.” In WandaVision, she unintentionally forces the residents of Westview to hold up to her fantasy against their own wills, passing her pain onto them. She is hated by many in-universe people because of the dangers her powers bring. She would be the voice of fear in my head, because even though I admire her, I am aware of the destruction she can cause and I too would be scared of that.

ANGER – Gordon Ramsay (chef and television personality)

  • Though polite in reality, Gordon Ramsay is known for his brutal honesty, strict behavior, and anger in television show appearances. He is a perfectionist who believes that the quality of food needs to be beyond excellent in order to maintain a good reputation as a chef. He is extremely critical on television not just for entertainment purposes, but also to make sure that people learn from the mistakes that they make. Sometimes, the angry voice in my head would negatively obsess over my own actions or find certain things that other people do to be unacceptable and unfair, which can cause feelings of anger.

DISGUST – Erica Sinclair (Stranger Things character)

  • She has a very sarcastic, snarky, and sassy personality. She doesn’t have much patience for her brother and tends to show disapproval and disrespect towards him. Disgust is described as a feeling of disapproval. She would be the voice of disgust in my head as she can get easily annoyed by things she may not like.

  1. I understand your choice for anger very well. Gordon Ramsay has many strong emotions on display, but none of them bring more attention than his anger. This is even highlighted in shows starring him like "Hell's Kitchen" and "Kitchen Nightmares" where his anger is something people wish to not see, because he is harsh and truthful with what he says, and pulls no punches in his vocabulary or how he chooses to say things.
